| Hey, anyone know of any places looking for
summer help? I did get re-hired by the park district for summer camp,
but I really don't want to do it. Last year I was the afternoon
supervisor, and then when the old supervisor decided not to come back
this year, instead of asking me to do it, the head of the program asked
my good friend to do it. While I am happy for my friend, it really
seems like the director did it to get at me. My friend has never been a
counselor before (this is my third year) she was the park attendent,
which means she was in charge of keeping the park house clean and the
bathrooms stocked with paper products. Besides that, she now has to
take a CPR class when I am already certified for both CPR and AED as
well as being a certified first responder. The director knows these
things and is just being petty because she knows I think she makes a
mockery of the job she is supposed to be doing. She wastes park
district money and supplies on her own projects and doesn't at all
handle problems which arise in the camps. Besides not giving me the
supervisor posistion, I also am only making minimum wage to do this
job. The parents pay for this camp, our park unlike the others across
our city are funded through parent dues. We are in charge of
seventy-five children, and we are making the same, or sometimes less,
than those who work half-day camps which are attended by five to ten
children.
SO
if you know of any family that needs someone to watch their children
during the say for the summer, or a company looking for extra help,
please let me know.
Like I said, I'm CPR/AED certified, have
tons of experience with children, am a criminal justice major and have
a broad range of clerical skills.
